Benjamin Sesko apparently remains a topic of discussion at FC Bayern—at least as a hypothetical scenario. According to recent media reports, the Munich club has inquired through intermediaries about the possibility of a transfer. However, Manchester United quickly made it clear that a move this summer is out of the question.

As reported by TEAMtalk, FC Bayern inquired through intermediaries whether signing Benjamin Sesko was possible. The Red Devils’ response was reportedly unequivocal: Manchester United considers the Slovenian international to be not for sale and is not willing to consider any offers for the forward.

As a result, the German record champions received a clear rejection early on.

Sesko is not considering a transfer

It’s not just Manchester United that is said to have put a stop to a transfer. According to TEAMtalk, there are also no signs from the player himself that suggest a club change.

According to the report, Sesko feels very comfortable in Manchester and enjoys working with coach Michael Carrick and his coaching staff. Leaving Old Trafford is not currently on the striker’s radar.

Bayern currently has no urgent need to act

The name Benjamin Sesko has been circulating at Säbener Straße for quite some time. Most recently, BILD’s soccer editor Christian Falk reported that the 22-year-old remains among the players FC Bayern is monitoring for the future.

However, there is no immediate need for him during the current transfer window. Max Eberl has emphasized on several occasions that, following the signings of Nathaniel Brown and Ismael Saibari, the team’s roster planning is complete on the incoming side. Further transfers are only conceivable if there is still movement on the outgoing side.

In addition, Harry Kane is on the verge of extending his contract. According to consistent media reports, the English striker is set to extend his contract—which runs through 2027—early, through 2029, thereby remaining the face of Bayern’s offense for years to come.

At the same time, the Munich club is already working on a long-term solution from within its own ranks. With Bastian Assomo, the record champion has one of the most exciting young strikers in Europe. The 16-year-old has impressed during the current preseason with strong performances and goals against Wehen Wiesbaden and Jeju SK. Internally, the plan is to develop the forward gradually and integrate him into the professional squad over the medium term.

Against this backdrop, a transfer for Sesko does not currently appear necessary, either from a sporting or financial perspective. While the Slovenian national team player remains an interesting prospect for the future, in the short term, FC Bayern is banking on continuity with Harry Kane—and on the development of its own top talent, Bastian Assomo.
