Viljami Sinisalo
Sky Sports have this morning reported that Celtic have agreed a fee in the region of £1 million for Aston Villa keeper Viljami Sinisalo. The sports news station also reported that the club have also agreed a fee of £3.5 million with Benfica for Paulo Bernardo.
It’s been widely reported the last 24 hours or so, but now that Sky have announced the details it seems to be more or less confirmed barring any last minute hitches. That’s great news as along with the imminent signing of Kasper Schmeichel, it further strengthens our squad ahead of the looming season.
It also lets the players join up with the squad for the pre season tour of the United States which will be important in terms of getting them bedded in for the upcoming campaign. This also allows the club to focus on further targets which are needed to bolster the squad.
There’s a few areas that still needed tended too, particularly in defence and up front, but that hopefully will be rectified during the clubs time in the States, and in the meantime we can just be glad we have a few new faces in the door.
Here’s a full round up on what’s been happening as summarised on our sister site Celticshorts.com earlier this morning…
