The market opens this Thursday and runs through to Monday, 2 February 2026, giving clubs a month to complete their business.
According to a report by Scott Burns in Daily Record, Nancy has identified four priority positions he wants to strengthen during that period. Those roles include a right-back, a right-sided central defender, a winger who operates on the right flank, and a centre-forward. The report adds that further reinforcements could be considered if players depart before the deadline.

Among the names being discussed is Julian Araujo, who is believed to be a leading option for the right-wing back or right-centre back role.
The 24-year-old Mexico international, who can also feature higher up the pitch on the right, is understood to be open to a loan move away from Bournemouth in order to secure consistent minutes ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Nancy is already familiar with Araujo from his time coaching in Major League Soccer, having faced him regularly when the defender was with LA Galaxy, while Nancy was in charge of CF Montréal and Columbus Crew.

Another MLS-based name linked with a move to the Scottish champions is striker Diego Rossi, who previously worked under Nancy in the United States. While the forward is reportedly interested in a reunion, speculation suggests it would require a significant bid to tempt Columbus into selling.

Celtic are also said to be monitoring Ivory Coast winger Jocelin Ta Bi as they assess options to bolster their attacking quality and depth.
The Hoops are in action this evening as they face Jens Berthel Askou’s Motherwell side at Fir Park. Three points would put Celtic level on points with Hearts at the top of the table heading into Saturday’s Glasgow Derby against theRangers at Celtic Park.
