All of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are expected to strengthen their squads even further by the close of play in the transfer market. Arsenal are about to sign Real Sociedad’s Mikel Merino with a transfer fee agreed tonight and medical now booked. Indeed, there are even suggestions the Gunners could still add Victor Osimhen to their ranks too, given he has asked to leave Napoli.

Man Utd have reportedly agreed terms with PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte months ago, only to see the deal stall – reportedly over a difference in valuation. Now, however, there could be a breakthrough, with claims a loan-to-buy deal has finally been agreed. Ben Chilwell may follow, having been allowed to leave Chelsea.
