The summer window has stepped up another gear as as Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool all work on getting huge deals wrapped up. Arsenal are expected to accelerate their interest in Bruno Guimaraes after the midfielder told Newcastle he wanted to leave. The Gunners could spend close to £200m on Guimaraes and priority target Morgan Rogers, while Bradley Barcola will cost around £130m. Former Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier is set to join on a free transfer after passing his medical.
Manchester United have agreed a £50m fee with Chelsea for Andrey Santos as Ederson flies in for a medical following Brazil’s early World Cup exit. Alex Scott was linked with a move to Old Trafford, but now Chelsea could reinvest the Santos money into signing the Bournemouth star. Maxence Lacroix and Pep Chavarria remain in talks with the Blues.
Tottenham are ready to splash the cash again, despite already spending over £230million, with a move for Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi, who could cost close to £100m. Rafael Leao has also been linked. Liverpool are working on a replacement for Mohamed Salah, with Crysencio Summerville the latest forward linked. Arsenal and Manchester United will miss out on one of their midfield transfer targets after Atletico Madrid struck a deal with Sporting CP for Morten Hjulmand.
The Dane had been on the radar of the two Premier League outfits, but he is, according to Fabrizio Romano, off to the Spanish capital in a deal worth €40million.
