Premier League clubs already lining up moves for summer targets
The transfer window has only been closed for two weeks but clubs are already plotting some big summer deals. Arsenal might have found a short-term solution to their striker crisis in Mikel Merino but they are making moves to sign an elite-level No9 for next season.
Nico Williams has indicated he favours a move to Arsenal instead of Barcelona, while the Gunners have made an approach for 20-goal Atalanta star Mateo Retegui, who is tearing it up in Serie A. Chelsea are plotting a busy summer amid their faltering form under Enzo Maresca. The Blues have made a goalkeeper and a striker their top priority, and are also ready to raid one of their London rivals for a teenage star.
Alexander Isak has long been linked with Arsenal but Liverpool could now move for the in-form Newcastle frontman if he leaves St James’ Park. Manchester United are also set for a big summer as Ruben Amorim plots a major rebuild of his squad. Follow all the latest news, gossip and rumours below!
