Manchester United winger Amad Diallo will miss the start of the new season through injury.

The Red Devils get their Premier League campaign underway against Wolves on August 14 and will do so without the Ivorian attacker, who has been nursing a knee issue in recent weeks.

It has been confirmed by the club that Amad, 21, will not be fit for the “first part” of the campaign.

Sanchez set for Chelsea move

Chelsea have agreed a £25m deal with Brighton for goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.

The Athletic report that the Spaniard will now undergo a medical with the Blues, ahead of completing his move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea believes Sanchez can provide competition for Kepa Arrizabalaga, after Edouard Mendy left the club earlier this summer.

Chelsea open to Adams move

Chelsea continue to consider Tyler Adams as a midfield target, with the Moises Caicedo saga dragging on.

Caicedo has long been the Blues’ top target, but Brighton are holding out for £100m and that is a figure that Chelsea, so far, have been unwilling to match.

The Athletic report the club could turn their focus to Adams, with it believed he has a release clause of £20m after Leeds’ relegation last season.
