Chelsea have currently blocked the proposed move of France international Axel Disasi to Aston Villa according to reports.
The January transfer window is into the final few days, and although the Blues haven’t been as busy as expected, this is usually the point where business starts to pick up.
Despite finally selling Cesare Casadei to Torino, Chelsea still have a number of players they are looking to move on, whilst they would ideally like to bring an attacker in.
Chelsea are still yet to find solutions for the likes of Ben Chilwell and Carney Chukwuemeka, whilst it’s possible Joao Felix could make a shock exit.
One player who looked like he had secured a move away was Disasi, with it reported earlier this week the Frenchman had agreed terms with Aston Villa.
Disasi had been attracting interest from clubs in Europe, but it’s said he only wants to join Unai Emery’s side, whilst all that’s missing is an agreement between the two clubs.

The deal is thought to be a dry loan with no buy option, however according to French outlet L’Equipe there’s been a surprise development.
They have reported that for currently unspecified reasons Chelsea are blocking Disasi’s move to Villa, even though he has an agreement with the Blues to find a solution before the end of the window.
The report adds that Villa are hopeful an agreement can be reached with Chelsea for the 26-year-old as they look to strengthen their defensive options.
Disasi joined Chelsea from French side Monaco for around £39m in the summer of 2023, and made 44 appearances in all competitions last season as the Blues secured a top six finish and a return to European football.

However, under Maresca things have been different, with Disasi not part of the plans and he’s started just four Premier League games.
The best solution is to get Disasi out playing regularly in an attempt to increase his transfer value ahead of an inevitable summer exit.
