During the two-legged clash between Espérance Sportive de Tunis and Petro Luanda in the CAF Champions League, one player, in particular, caught the eye of the Blood and Gold’s management. That man is Jorge Pereira.
According to reports from Angolan media outlet Bola em Campo, the Beb Souika club is preparing to make a move to sign the Angolan club’s defensive midfielder.
Jorge Pereira was born on March 10, 1998, in Caracas. Although he holds Venezuelan citizenship, he chose to represent Portugal. He has, in fact, played for the Portuguese U16, U17, and U18 national teams in the past.
Having joined Petro Luanda in July 2025, the 26-year-old defensive midfielder has quickly become one of the team’s standout players. Before that, he spent most of his career in Portugal, turning out for Famalicão, AD Oliveirense, Sanjoanense, and Feirense.
Jorge Pereira developed through the ranks at Benfica, donning the famous Portuguese club’s colors at U15, U17, U19, and even with the B team.
