Olympique de Marseille have acquired a French international! The French club were looking to strengthen their midfield following the departure of Boubacar Kamara at the end of his contract, and on Friday they signed Jordan Veretout. The 29-year-old midfielder, who came up at FC Nantes, arrives from AS Roma, where he won the Europa League last season. He has signed a three-year contract with OM and will wear the number 27 shirt.
Having played 166 games in Serie A with Fiorentina and then Roma, and 98 games in Ligue 1 Uber Eats with FC Nantes and AS Saint-Etienne, Jordan Veretout arrives in Marseille with a wealth of European and international experience, having also won five caps for Les Bleus. After Gigot, Touré, Mbemba, Blanco, Tavares, Clauss and Suarez, he is the eighth recruit for Igor Tudor's side since the summer window opened. A defender at LOSC Bafodé Diakité is heading north! The 21-year-old defender has left Toulouse FC to join LOSC. Born in Toulouse and a product of the Téfécé youth system, he played more than 80 matches with the Toulouse first team before committing to LOSC for four seasons.
"Despite his being just 21 years of age, he displays remarkable experience and maturity as a player and as a man," said LOSC president Olivier Létang. "His versatility is also a real asset - and we are convinced that he is a player who still has a lot of room for improvement." The Franco-Guinean, who can play at centre-back or full-back, has several caps for France's youth teams. >> TRANSFERS: All the summer moves
