Tricolour youth side start the week with training in Cotia

On the morning of this Monday (11), at CFA Laudo Natel, in Cotia (SP), the U-20, U-17 and U-15 teams trained in preparation for their commitments this week.

Coach Júlio Baptista led a tactical session with the U-20 squad focused on offensive phases, from playing out under the opponent’s pressure to building up in the finishing zone. The U-20’s next match will take place this Wednesday (13), at 3 p.m., at home, against Cruzeiro, in the Brazilian Championship for the category.

For the U-17s, the players who logged the most minutes in last Saturday’s (9) match against Real Soccer, in the Paulista Championship, completed a recovery session and took part only in the first part of the activity, focused on possession play in a small-sided pitch.

The U-15s, meanwhile, held a technical fundamentals training session. The activity was without right-back Ruann and midfielder Lucas Jorge, who were called up to represent the Brazil U-15 national team in the Vlatko Marković International Tournament, in Croatia.

Both categories return to action on Saturday (16), when they face Atlético Paulista at CFA Laudo Natel, at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., respectively, in the State Championship.

The U-14 players, who returned from Japan with a third-place finish in the Tokyo International Tournament, reported back this Monday and joined the rest of the squad for a training session focused on technical fundamentals, with ball-carrying drills involving changes of direction followed by a small-sided game. The team’s next commitment is on Sunday (17), at 10:40 a.m., against Ska Brasil, at home, in the Paulista Championship.
