London City Lionesses have confirmed the news that Julia Roddar, Maddi Wilde and Gesa Marashi will be leaving the club this summer when their contracts expire.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Pride this afternoon.

All three players joined London City Lionesses in summer 2024 and were members of the side that won the Barclays WSL2 title last season. Roddar has continued to feature for London City Lionesses this season while Wilde and Marashi have spent time out on loan with playing opportunities in short supply.

Roddar arrived in England with an impressive CV which included Damallsvenskan title successes and an NWSL Championship win. Her experience has helped the evolution of the London City Lionesses squad. Defender Wilde brought experience from her time with Bristol City while Marashi arrived off the back of a spell in the Arsenal academy. All three players will now look towards new challenges next season.

London City Lionesses complete their first season in the Barclays Women’s Super League with a fixture against Aston Villa at the Copperjax Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Pride are guaranteed to finish the 2025/2026 campaign in seventh position or higher. The club have ambitions to break into the division’s top-three next season with a busy summer ahead in the transfer market.
