Troy Deeney insists David Raya remains the best goalkeeper in the Premier League after another impressive performance for Arsenal against Chelsea.

Although the Gunners gave Chelsea little leeway, the Blues arguably have the most potent attack in the league now, and they still managed to create an opportunity to test the Spaniard. Raya responded with another important display, reinforcing his reputation as one of the Premier League’s leading goalkeepers.

Raya produced one superb save to deny Estevao, with the effort potentially resulting in a certain goal had the goalkeeper not reacted so well. The moment further demonstrated his ability to deliver when Arsenal need him most, and his consistency continues to strengthen his standing among the league’s elite goalkeepers.

Arsenal are delighted to have the Spaniard in goal, while even those who previously questioned the decision to sign him when Aaron Ramsdale was at the club have been won over by his performances. Raya has established himself as a key part of the Gunners’ team.

Deeney backs Raya for top spot
