Troyes mourn 74-year-old supporter who died after falling ill at Stade de l'Aube

A 74-year-old Troyes supporter died on Saturday after falling ill during the home match at Stade de l'Aube.

The Ligue 2 leaders beat Pau 4-3, and the club said in a statement that its thoughts and support were with her family, friends and all who shared her passion, adding it stood in solidarity with them.

She became unwell in the Vitoux stand during the closing stages.

Despite rapid intervention, including help from a retired doctor in the crowd before emergency services arrived, she could not be saved.

The club learned of her death on Saturday afternoon.
