Sean Longstaff has enjoyed his last three Newcastle United starts.
The wins against Chelsea, Arsenal and Forest, immediately before this November international break.
West Ham on Monday night at St James’ Park, as Sean Longstaff and his teammates look to keep that winning feeling going.
Actually, for the Geordie midfielder, he has hardly experienced anything other than a wining feeling when starting this season.
Sean Longstaff starting eight games so far and seven wins, only the 1-1 draw at Bournemouth the exception.
Whereas, in the six games he hasn’t been in the starting eleven this season, Sean Longstaff has seen Newcastle lose three, draw two and win just the one.
With actually that one win when he didn’t start, seeing Sean Longstaff come off the bench and score the winning penalty in the cup at Forest!
When it comes to how he sees things at Newcastle United, Sean Longstaff saying that the only thing which really matters, is that he has the trust of Eddie Howe.
“The midfield group is really strong.
“When you look around it is all internationals.
“It is just about trying to bring my strengths to the team.
“I know the manager (Eddie Howe) trusts me, which is the biggest thing.
“No matter what anyone ever says, the fact he trusts me gives me the most confidence.
“The season we qualified for the Champions League, I tried to enjoy it as much as possible.
“Then, last year there were games every three days and with lads being injured, I think the burden of trying to win every game can mean the enjoyment leaves a little bit.
“Turning 27, I’m thinking I’ve got a maximum of 10 years left playing football and my perspective has changed a little bit.
