‘Trying To Create An Auction’ – Claim Made On Birmingham City And Southampton Target | OneFootball

An auction around Birmingham City and Southampton target Daniel Jebbison is trying to be created, it has been claimed.

The Canadian-born striker only made the move to England in 2018, joining Sheffield United’s academy before heading out on two loan spells with Chorley and Burton Albion.

Jebbison went on to make 29 first-team appearances for the Blades before moving to Bournemouth in the summer of 2024.

Upon his arrival on the south coast, the striker was immediately sent out on loan to Watford, before being recalled in January the following year and spending the second half of the campaign with the Cherries, where he found the net once.

Last summer, aware of the competition for places in attack from Eli Junior Kroupi and Evanilson, the 23-year-old opted for a season-long loan move to Preston North End, a decision that proved beneficial.

The Invincibles finished the campaign in mid-table in 14th place, with Jebbison becoming a key figure in their attack, registering eight goal involvements across 40 appearances.

This summer, after proving his credentials in the Championship, the striker has attracted attention from clubs looking to add firepower to their attacking ranks, with Birmingham City and Southampton among those monitoring his availability.

Wrexham have also entered the conversation, while potential suitors from Germany and Italy are understood to be keeping a close eye on the 23-year-old.

Not all the links floating around for the striker may have real substance to them and it is suggested someone is looking to create an auction for Jebbison.

When asked about the growing speculation surrounding the Canada international, journalist Alan Nixon said on his Patreon: “Someone is trying to create an auction.”

With a contract at the Vitality Stadium until 2028, Jebbison could well be on the move soon.

However, his strong pre-season form, including two goals and an assist, could make Bournemouth reluctant to let him leave, especially with Marco Rose potentially keen to retain him following Kroupi’s injury setback.
