Tuchel makes one change to England squad for Czechia clash | OneFootball

Thomas Tuchel has replaced Nico O’Reilly with Rio Ngumoha in England’s squad for Tuesday’s UEFA Nations League match against Czechia at the Fortuna Arena.

O’Reilly missed Monday’s training session due to injury and has not recovered in time to make the trip to Prague.

Lewis Hall and Myles Lewis-Skelly are options to replace the Manchester City youngster in the starting line-up.

Ngumoha was left out for the Three Lions’ defeat to Spain. He is now in line to make his senior competitive debut after featuring in June’s friendly win over New Zealand.

The Liverpool youngster is unlikely to start against Czechia with Anthony Gordon, Morgan Rogers, Eberechi Eze and Morgan Gibbs-White ahead of him for the wide attacking positions.

Ngumoha will hope to get a chance as he looks to break into England’s starting XI before the 2028 European Championship.

Ezri Konsa has shaken off his fitness concerns and will make the trip to Czechia, after missing Monday’s training.

The Arsenal centre-back has been a regular under Tuchel, featuring in every game at the World Cup and in the defeat to Spain.

England are aiming to avoid another slow start to their Nations League campaign and will look to secure a victory in Czechia.

They will subsequently travel to Croatia this Saturday before hosting Czechia at Wembley Stadium next Tuesday.
