Igor Tudor claims that Inter are among the strongest sides in Serie A, and have a squad that is even better than that of Antonio Conte and Napoli following the Derby d’Italia on Saturday evening.

Juventus were on the victorious side of a 4-3 thriller in the Derby d’Italia in Serie A on Saturday, thanks to goals from Lloyd Kelly, Kenan Yildiz, Khephren Thuram and 19-year-old Vasilije Adzic.

Tudor has openly admitted that Juventus won despite not playing to the best of their abilities, but is proud of his players regardless, as he feels they have overcome one of the strongest sides in the division.

Reviewing the victory over Inter during his Champions League pre-match press conference on Monday evening, Tudor claimed: “We played against the strongest team in Serie A with their squad, in my opinion, they’re also ahead of Napoli.

“We won despite not being at our top level, and while having some small problems. I like winning like this, too.”

Tudor was also asked about his current footballing philosophy and whether he prefers to win 4-3 or 1-0.

He replied: “When I was coaching in Verona, I said I preferred a 4-3 to a 1-0. That was three years ago.

“My philosophy now is to win first and foremost, then, if we can score more goals, score them. I like attacking football, but it depends on the players’ characteristics. The goal is to win, then I aim for more goals. A 3-0 would be better.”
