Juventus now have the same number of points (12) after six matches of the 2025-26 season as they did after the same number of games under Thiago Motta last term, and current head coach Igor Tudor is now beginning to repeat an unfortunate trend that also troubled his predecessor.

Juventus were held to a 0-0 draw by Milan in Serie A on Sunday evening in a game that saw Christian Pulisic miss from the penalty spot and Rafael Leao squander a glorious opportunity in the 90th minute.

Sunday’s result means that Juventus now have three wins and three draws after six matches of the Serie A season, the same set of results as they achieved after six Serie A matches under Thiago Motta last term.

Juventus managed to go 21 matches unbeaten at the start of the 2024-25 season under Thiago Motta, but the former head coach often came under criticism given that 13 of those matches ended in draws.

A year down the line, and Juventus have now drawn five matches in a row across Serie A and the Champions League, matching the longest streak of consecutive draws under Thiago Motta last season.
