Coach Igor Tudor and Manuel Locatelli spoke about tomorrow's tough test against the Germans at a press conference.

MANUEL LOCATELLI

READY FOR THE START

"We're really pumped for our Champions League opener. Saturday's game against Inter gave us a lot of positivity. Tomorrow, we'll kick off the most exciting competition there is, and we'll do so at home in front of our fans, which should be an extra incentive for us. It will be important to get off to a good start and approach the match against a strong team like Borussia Dortmund in the best possible way. When we step onto the pitch and hear the Champions League anthem, it will be an incredible feeling.

A TEAM UNITED TOGETHER

"Our secret is unity. We are happy to have started this season with the coach and his staff because it means we can start with clear ideas in mind and not from scratch. We are a team that wants to get things done, we want to put ourselves out there, and at Juventus our goal is, we must always try to go all the way in every competition. We know that there are very strong teams in the Champions League, of the highest level. We played really well against Inter, but there were also aspects that we absolutely must improve on. We are at the start of our journey and we still have a long way to go, and we will get there together.

THE TEAM THAT SCORES THE MOST, WINS

"The statistics don't lie, The Champions League is a different competition from the league. There are teams that play differently. Last year, PSG won because they scored the most goals, but they also won thanks to Donnarumma's extraordinary heroics in goal. So it may be true that in the Champions League, the teams that score the most goals win. As the statistics show, unlike in the Italian league, where the team that concedes the fewest goals almost always wins. It's clear that they are two completely different competitions. You always need balance in your assessments.

IGOR TUDOR

JUVENTUS' JOURNEY IN EUROPE

"They are a great team, not only in Germany but also on the European stage. This match will be played at home and we can't wait to start this wonderful competition. How far can we go in the Champions League? We're definitely not thinking about that right now. We just have to focus on the next challenge, which is against a very strong opponent. In the Champions League, every game is difficult because you're up against the best teams in Europe. It's a privilege to play in this competition, for the players and for me.

SQUAD'S MORALE

“The squad is doing well in every respect. We have a good relationship within the group. The coach has to make choices, and it's not an easy job. I'm lucky, though, because I coach a group of good, serious, focused guys. What matters most of all is winning, so when we step onto the pitch, we do it for the sake of the team.

THE VICTORY AGAINST INTER

“I had two main take-aways against Inter. We played against the strongest team in Serie A in terms of squad potential and we won without playing at our best. This second point should make us reflect on our true value and what we could and should have done better. We were also missing some important players for various reasons, including international commitments and injuries.”
