Tudor's Tottenham on worst losing streak in club's history

Igor Tudor's torrid start to life at Tottenham Hotspur has fuelled speculation over his future already as Spurs endure their worst-ever run of form.

Some reports suggested Sean Dyche could come in to steady the ship and while the club's management are yet to make a decision the numbers are damning for a team in deep crisis.

The Croatian has had the worst possible start to life in North London, losing all four of his games in charge – the worst start of any Spurs manager in history. While Tudor can't account for individual errors like we saw against Atlético de Madrid in the Champions League last night it's fair to say his impact hasn't been a positive one thus far.

This season, relegation looms ever closer with Tottenham not only winless in the Premier League in 2026 but also having picked up just two wins in their last 20 league games (against Crystal Palace and Brentford). Most worryingly, 12 of those 20 games ended in defeat.

Since the final weekend of August, every team besides Burnley and Wolverhampton Wanderers have picked up more points than Tottenham; that false dawn under Frank early in the season is the only thing keeping them out of the bottom three right now.

In all competitions, Spurs are now on a club-record six-game losing streak, stretching back to Thomas Frank's final two games as manager (against Manchester United and Newcastle United) until Tudor's reign began.

Spurs had suffered five defeats in a row in all competitions on seven occasions previously, most recently in the 1993/94 season under club legend Ossie Ardiles.

That season, the team did manage to lose seven Premier League games in a row but still managed to 15th out of a 22-team league, behind Chelsea but ahead of Manchester City.

Tottenham fans would be delighted with 15th this season.
