Hakan Calhanoglu admitted Inter Milan were left frustrated after being held to a 2-2 draw by Napoli, but insisted the team must channel that disappointment into momentum for the rest of the season.

He reflected on a result that felt particularly painful given how the match unfolded.

Inter had taken the lead on two separate occasions against their Scudetto rivals.

However, they were pegged back both times by a Napoli side that refused to go away.

Calhanoglu made no attempt to hide his frustration, acknowledging the sense of a missed opportunity in a tightly contested title clash.

“Leading twice and not taking all three points hurts,” the Turkey international wrote, underlining how close Inter came to claiming a potentially decisive victory in the standings.

Despite that disappointment, the midfielder struck a determined and collective tone in his message, stressing unity within the squad.

“But we keep moving forward together,” Calhanoglu added.

Before concluding with a clear message of focus: “On to the next one.”

There will be a nervous wait around Inter as the club await the status of Calhanoglu’s injury.

The midfielder was substituted off late on after an apparent ankle sprain.

Cristian Chivu refused to comment too much on the matter in his post-match press conference.
