Turkey and this time of the year go hand in hand, and one Juventus starlet got an early Christmas present during Saturday’s match with Frosinone.
Kenan Yıldız joined the Bianconeri from Bayern Munich’s youth set-up in the summer of 2022 and after making a string of substitute appearances for the club this season, he was rewarded with his first senior start at Stadio Benito Stirpe.
And the 18-year-old rewarded coach Max Allegri’s faith in him with a brilliant goal to open the scoring after 12 minutes, as he slalomed past two Frosinone defenders before lashing past the goalkeeper at the near post.
With that goal, the teenager became the youngest foreign goalscorer in Juve’s history.
He’s already been capped three times by Turkey and in the absence of Federico Chiesa, it looks like Juve have unearthed a real gem.
