Tuttosport: Two ‘compatible’ operations – Milan’s plan to complete the striker department

The summer mercato opened earlier this week, but no deals have been made yet, much to the despair of the AC Milan fanbase. However, with the recruitment needed this summer, all options must be evaluated as the club seeks the best financial and footballing operations.

It would be easy for Milan to settle the deal for Joshua Zirkzee should they pay the commission fee demanded by an agent. However, doing so, at least at the price requested, could take away from other deals.

As a result, it is important to fully evaluate the situation and prices of a deal and their compatibility before deciding which players the club wants.

In the past week, the striker situation has reached a pivotal moment. The Rossoneri’s interest in Joshua Zirkzee has not died, but a deal is difficult, and alternatives are being looked into. For example, there have been reports about interest in a double deal, including Romelu Lukaku and Tammy Abraham, as an alternative solution.

However, as Tuttosport (via Milan News) reports this morning, a new solution has been identified. Whilst the Zirkzee problem remains, he is still the preference to lead the line next season, but he could arrive alongside Alvaro Morata, who the club are interested in.

The report continues, stating that the two operations are ‘compatible’, at least looking at the deal with finances in mind. A new plan, two new profiles, and an intriguing prospect, so now, we must wait.
