Two members of the attacking ranks at Barcelona etched their names into the history books on Sunday night.
This came courtesy of their respective efforts in the Blaugrana’s La Liga meeting with Valencia.
Barcelona are of course fresh off a dominant return to winning ways yesterday evening.
After welcoming the aforementioned Valencia to Catalunya’s capital, Hansi Flick’s troops ran riot to the tune of an eventual 6-0 triumph.
A trio of Barca stars were responsible for the goals on the night, with Fermín López, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski having all been on target to the tune of a brace.
And owing to such exploits, the latter pair secured a piece of recent club history.
As revealed by statisticians Opta:
‘Two Barcelona players (Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski) have scored a brace coming off the bench in a La Liga match for the first time in the 21st century.’
