Two members of the first-team setup at La Liga giants Barcelona on Friday marked their respective returns to group training alongside the rest of the club’s squad.
The pair in question? Ansu Fati, and Andreas Christensen.
Both wide-man Ansu and defender Christensen have of course spent recent weeks on the treatment table.
The latter, in fact, has been sidelined since all the way back in August, owing to a chronic Achilles issue.
Ansu, meanwhile, was forced into a fresh spell out of action last month, after suffering a hamstring injury during a training session at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
Amid a hectic fixture list for his side at present, Hansi Flick, in turn, will no doubt be delighted to see both players on Friday taken a significant step towards a return to competitive action.
As confirmed by Barcelona insider Javier Miguel of Diario AS, Christensen and Ansu were given the medical green light to return to group training alongside their teammates this morning.
The latter could in turn yet take his place on the bench for the Blaugrana’s meeting with Leganés on Sunday, albeit with Christensen not expected to make his comeback until next month.
