Chelsea kept up their winning form with a victory over Wolves at the weekend. That meant they also kept up their run of getting players into the WhoScored team of the week for the top rated statistical players in the division for this week.

Both Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro made the team in the end. You can see the full team in the image below.

WhoScored’s Team of the Week for Gameweek 25.

Palmer was always going to get in there, given he bagged a hattrick. The fact that two of them were penalty goals doesn’t count against him, especially when you consider the quality of the finish for the third.

Joao Pedro didn’t get on the scoresheet, but continued his great run of form with some lovely hold up play. HE and Palmer look like they’re starting to get some understanding together. We hope that continued to develop in the weeks to come.

Injuries to Palmer haven’t just hurt his form, they’ve also stopped him being able to create those connections on the pitch. Hopefully now he and his number 9 are fit and in form and playing, they can make up for lost time in that respect. At some point they will also get a midweek free to do some training together too…

In an attacking sense, things are looking up at the moment.

In other news…

Pedro Neto remains under fire from Chelsea fans, despite the fact you can point to his involvement in all three goals against Wolves at the weekend. Where do you stand on his form right now?

Liam Delap is also getting a lot of criticism at the moment, but his goals per minute stat isn’t too bad. Maybe he just needs more time on the pitch?
