David Odogu is heading towards a move away from Milan just 12 months after he joined the Rossoneri in €10m deal from Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg according to the latest reports.

Odogu expected to leave Milan on loan, Mainz and Anderlecht interested

Odogu has spent the last 12 months in San Siro after joining at a cost of €7m plus up to €3m in bonuses from Wolfsburg at the end of the summer transfer window in 2025.

David Odogu’s first interview on September 2, 2025.

The young defender made just three appearances in the first team under Massimiliano Allegri in 2025-26 including two appearances off the bench in Serie A. He also registered three appearances with Milan Futuro in Serie D.

New Milan head coach Ruben Amorim has been taking his time to assess the players he has at his disposal during pre-season in 2026 and to decide who might stay and who might go. Unfortunately for Odogu, the latest reports in Italy indicate that his time with the Rossoneri is already coming to an end.

According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, Odogu is now expected to leave Milan this summer window, most likely on an initial loan deal.

Several sides have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Odogu, including Anderlecht in the Belgian top flight and Bundesliga outfit Mainz.
