Real Madrid have seen a lot of changes since the arrival of Xabi Alonso as the team’s new manager, the most important being the changes in the pecking order across the field.
Some players who were once considered to be regular starters and high-impact substitutes under the previous manager are now given minimal playing time, while others have gone from oblivion to stardom in a span of months.
Needless to say, Alonso’s preferences for certain players will have an impact on the upcoming transfer window and Real Madrid’s plans for the same. After all, some names who are not enjoying minutes will look to push for a departure.
As relayed by Mario Cortegana in a recent report, Dani Ceballos and Fran Garcia are seen as two players who could leave Real Madrid soon.

The Spanish midfielder already looked for a move away from the Spanish capital in 2024 and 2025. His current contract ends in 2027, and given the sparse minutes he is seeing, he could well finalise his exit.
He has prioritised a move back to Real Betis in recent transfer windows and even blew an almost-finalised move to France hoping for the same last summer. Come June, he may well choose to leave irrespective of the party interested.
Fran Garcia, meanwhile, has been relegated to a third-choice left-back after the return of Ferland Mendy and could look to move away from the club next summer based on his place on the pecking order.
The manager has indeed shown faith in him in recent times as Alvaro Carreras’ backup, but it remains unclear how that situation will evolve with Mendy’s return. Moreover, he is still just 26 and will want to be a regular starter in his prime years.
