Two youths detained after car hits fans at FC Porto title celebrations

The PSP detained two youths after a vehicle struck supporters during FC Porto’s 31st title celebrations in São João da Madeira.

According to Jornal de Notícias, the suspects, aged 18, were released, must appear in court on Monday, and are suspected of dangerous driving.

The incident on Saturday night followed a collision between two cars that sent one vehicle onto the pavement, injuring nine people, including two children.

FC Porto is in contact with the local authority and is monitoring developments.

The club is expected to invite the injured supporters to the home match against Santa Clara, the final game of the season at the Dragão, if they are fit to attend.
