The representatives of Manchester United left-back Tyrell Malacia have reacted to reports linking him with Celtic, according to Voetbal International journalist Joost Blaauwhof.

Celtic have been constantly linked with bringing the Red Devils star to the Parkhead club for months as manager Brendan Rodgers looks to bolster this squad.

However, members of his camp are surprised, as there has not been any contact from the Hoops.

Malacia is currently out of favour at Man United as he is not in the plans of head coach Ruben Amorim.

The Netherlands international is currently training away from the first-team having been omitted from their pre-season tour.

Malacia is expected to leave this summer but a move to Celtic is not on the cards.

His only offer so far has come from the Saudi Pro League and he has yet to accept it.

The 25-year-old joined Eredivisie club PSV Eindhoven back in February on loan for the remainder of the 2024-25 season, and clubs from his country could look to bring the former Feyenoord star back home.

Celtic have also been recently linked with another Premier League star of recent, and they were indeed keen on bringing Manchester City attacker Jack Grealish to the Scottish Premiership.

However, the £300,000-per-week England international never seriously considered the move and has since joined Everton on a season-long loan.

The Hoops could actually sign a player from the English top-flight this summer as West Ham United midfielder Andy Irving is reportedly on their radar.

Celtic made a late approach to the Hammers at the end of last summer’s window for the Scotland international and are still keen on having him.

The Bhoys have signed Kieran Tierney and Ross Doohan on free transfers and have added Hayato Inamura, Benjamin Nygren, Callum Osmand and Shin Yamada to their team this summer.

Rodgers still wants more signings and while Malacia will not be joining, some quality additions could be on the way.
