Everton have reached an agreement with Chelsea over the signing of Tyrique George on loan. The deal includes an option to buy at the end of the season.

“George has been given permission to travel for a medical and the deal includes an option to buy at the end of the season. The agreement is pending ratification on the Everton side,” reports The Athletic’s David Ornstein.

Fabrizio Romano also confirmed the development with his signature “here we go” post on X.

The addition of George will boost Everton’s attacking options, especially in the aftermath of Jack Grealish’s injury. Grealish, diagnosed with a stress fracture in the foot, will probably miss the remainder of the season.

19-year-old George has scored three goals in 11 matches this season. He enjoyed a breakthrough season under Enzo Maresca in the 2024-25 campaign, making 26 appearances and scoring three goals.

The England U21 international had nearly agreed a £22million move to Fulham last summer but it broke down in the final hours of the window.

George actually is fast, not just rumoured to be, he is actually fast.

Chelsea fans seem gutted to see him getting moved on so that tells you he has something worth having?

I'd love Harry Wilson but we've probably left it too late in the day now, perhaps Moyes sees this as a better cheaper and marginally younger option this summer than Jack Grealish?
