On Friday, Morocco will face Brazil in a quarter-final clash of the U17 World Cup.
The North African side will be looking to continue their impressive run in the tournament, having defeated the United States (4-3 on penalties) and Mali (2-0) in the round of 16 and round of 8, respectively.
For this major U17 World Cup showdown, Morocco is hoping to have their star midfielder Abdellah Ouazane back in action. Sidelined due to health issues, he was forced to miss the match against the Mali Eaglets.
According to Moroccan outlet almountakhab, the player is expected to return to the starting XI for this high-stakes showdown against the Seleção.
A former youth international for the Netherlands, Ajax Amsterdam's rising star chose to represent Morocco in 2023.
In 23 appearances for the Young Lions, Abdellah Ouazane has scored 7 goals and provided 3 assists.
