Centre-back Talla Ndiaye was one of Senegal's standout performers in the match against Croatia, which marked the opening day of the group stage at the U17 World Cup.

Delivering a breathtaking performance, he earned the second highest rating from the specialist site SofaScore (7.5 out of 10), just behind his compatriot Lamine Mbengue (7.6 out of 10).

The 17-year-old managed 6 interceptions and cleared the ball 7 times. He also recovered possession 5 times and won 5 out of 9 duels against Croatian players.

Trained at Senegalese club Amitié FC, he is set to join a European club as soon as he comes of age, on January 6th next year.

The robust centre-back will look to build on his impressive display against Croatia when Senegal face Costa Rica on Thursday, November 6, in their second Group C match.
