South Korea U20 are aiming for a third consecutive semi-final appearance at the FIFA U20 World Cup after their runs in Poland 2019 and Argentina 2023.
- South Korea are representing the AFC for the 17th time in this tournament.
- They finished as runners-up in 2019 after losing the final to Ukraine (3-1).
- The Taegeuk Warriors claimed fourth place four years later in Argentina.
Hong Sungmin and his teammates booked their ticket after reaching the semi-finals of the AFC U-20 Asian Cup. They were knocked out on penalties by Saudi Arabia.
