Second in the CONMEBOL U-20 Championship, Argentina is eager to reaffirm its dominance in this age group after lifting the world trophy six times (1979, 1995, 1997, 2001, 2005, and 2007).
- Argentina is making its 18th appearance at the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
- A seven-time champion, Argentina was eliminated by Nigeria in the round of 16 of the 2023 edition, which was held on home soil.
Argentina secured its place in the final tournament after finishing second in the most recent CONMEBOL U-20 Championship.
