Football fans have been spoiled in 2025 with a whirlwind of continental and international tournaments lighting up the calendar.

The next major event is set for Chile, which will host the 24th edition of the U20 World Cup from September 27 to October 19, 2025.

This tournament will be marked by the participation of four African nations: Morocco, Egypt, South Africa, and Nigeria.

The four African representatives will be aiming to follow in the footsteps of Ghana, still the only African nation to have won the U20 World Cup, claiming the title at the 2009 edition held in Egypt.

The "Black Satellites" made history in that Egyptian showdown, pulling off a sensational victory over Brazil in the final after a dramatic penalty shoot-out.
