Morocco secures its goalkeeper for the Argentina clash

Morocco will have to do without their star goalkeeper, Yanis Benchaouch, for the final of the U20 World Cup.

The "Atlas Cubs" will take on Argentina in the early hours of Monday, with the showdown set at the Julio Martínez Prádanos stadium in Chile.

Injured during the semi-final against France, the Monaco shot-stopper has been ruled out of this grand finale of the junior World Cup.

According to the latest reports, Morocco's head coach Mohamed Ouahbi is expected to place his trust in Ibrahim Gomis, the Olympique de Marseille goalkeeper, who put in a strong performance coming off the bench against Les Bleuets.

Abdelhakim Mesbahi, the penalty shootout hero against France, could also be called upon if the match ends in a draw.

For the record, only one African nation has managed to win the tournament in the past: Ghana, back in 2009.
