Leeds United Under-21s are back in Premier League 2 action for the second time this week, heading to the Fitlife Foods Performance Centre to face West Bromwich Albion Under-21s.
Following a 1-0 victory at home over Norwich City on Monday evening, Scott Gardner’s side hit the road looking to secure back-to-back victories for the first time in the league this season.
In the clash against the Canaries last time out, Connor Douglas’ first-half strike secured all three points, as he capitalised on a loose ball in the box and swept home.
Prior to that one, attentions had turned to the Premier League International Cup where a last-gasp Reuben Lopata-White header secured an impressive victory over Portuguese outfit Sporting CP B.
Our hosts are still searching for their first win this season, currently sitting second from bottom in the PL2 table with only one point, achieved after a goalless draw at home to Crystal Palace.
A win could propel Leeds to as high as fifth in the standings, as the Whites currently lie in ninth place on nine points after five league games this season.
Action from the Fitlife Foods Performance Centre gets underway at 1pm.
