Fiorentina will be in Switzerland for their second match of the 2024-25 Europa Conference League campaign on Thursday evening, as Raffaele Palladino’s side look to pick up points against a struggling St. Gallen.
The hosts have not won in any competition since the end of September and also suffered a 6-2 hammering by Cercle Brugge in the first round of Europa League fixtures.
Fiorentina, meanwhile, got off to a winning start in the Europa League, beating their Welsh Premiership opponents The North Saints by two goals to nil in Florence last time out.
Albert Gudmundsson is out injured, and will be for several weeks, so a lot of pressure will fall on Lucas Beltran to deliver in attack. Pre-match reports suggest that he could be joined by Christina Kouame, Jonathan Ikone and Riccardo Sottil in attack.
Danilo Cataldi and Amir Richardson are possible starters in the midfield pivot, while a relatively standard back four, featuring Michael Kayode is to be expected.
Kick-off is due at the earlier time of 17.45 BST.
St. Gallen (4-3-1-2): Ati; Faber, Stanic, Vallci, Yannick; Görtler, Quintilla, Witzig; Toma; Geubbels, Akolo.
Fiorentina (4-2-3-1): Terracciano; Kayode, Moreno, Martinez Quarta, Biraghi; Cataldi, Richardson; Ikone, Beltran, Sottil; Kouame.
Thursday’s game will be shown live on TNT Sports 10 in the UK and will also be available online via Discovery+. Supporters in the USA will not be able to watch on live television, but can watch online through Paramount +.
