According to As, UEFA has received documents from Real Madrid relating to the Negreira case and will resume its examination of Barcelona.

Barcelona is accused of paying about 7.3 million euros between 2001 and 2018 to José María Enríquez Negreira, then vice-president of the Spanish federation’s referees committee. The club has maintained the payments were for refereeing consultancy.

Real Madrid had announced in June it would furnish UEFA with new material to seek a reopening of the probe into its rival. The report said the file runs to 50,000 pages.

The report added that UEFA’s ethics and disciplinary inspectors will evaluate the latest submissions as part of their ongoing review.

On Thursday the club said its complaint includes extensive documentation and evidence of matters it considers to be of extraordinary gravity, affecting competition integrity and trust in the refereeing system. It added that the investigation should progress with the utmost speed to a full conclusion. The club said it will continue to collaborate actively with UEFA.
