Ulrich Ramé, Euro 2000 winner, has reinvented himself as an interior architect, becoming a shareholder at David Dalidec & Associés near Bordeaux.
According to L'Équipe, the 53-year-old left his PSG women’s role in summer 2022, then completed an École nationale du bâtiment diploma in 2024 after over a year and a half and about 600 hours of remote study alongside office immersion.
A friendship with founder David Dalidec dating back about 25 years evolved from client to partner two years ago. Ramé now owns 25% of the agency, with Dalidec praising his humility, fresh eye, gentle drawing touch and structured methods from elite sport.
Based in Sainte-Croix-du-Mont, the fast-growing firm numbers 11 employees and has launched a branding arm, Blanquette. Its team has tackled varied refurbishments, including Bordeaux’s bicentenary restaurant Le Chapon Fin, with 23 projects scheduled for 2026 across cafés, hotels and restaurants, including overseas.
Sport-facing work is expanding through Ramé’s network and expertise, including a tender won to deliver the president’s lounge and renovate the press room at Union Bordeaux-Bègles’ Stade Chaban-Delmas, plus a padel complex in the Basque Country. A Bordeaux legend with 525 appearances and league titles in 1999 and 2009, he frames the switch as a personal mutation and says design should create emotion, community and business from the professional to the amateur game.
