Ultras Auxerre 1990, who back coach Christophe Pelissier, have called for sporting director David Wantier to go, unveiling banners across Auxerre on Wednesday night. According to L'Équipe, the messages accused him of lying and manipulation.

The action preceded a planned rally outside Stade de l'Abbé-Deschamps on Saturday in support of Pelissier. Banners appeared on bridges and along the quays, urging Wantier to leave.

The display was paired with a statement posted on social media by the group. They wrote that the club’s only problem is David Wantier.

They also branded him a liar and a manipulator, and argued he does not embody their club or any viable project.

The Ultras highlighted his December 2024 sentence, three months in prison suspended, a €5,000 fine and three years of ineligibility, in a case over commissions paid to bogus agents.
