Unai Emery offers update on £60m Aston Villa man before Nottingham Forest | OneFootball

According to Nottingham Post, Unai Emery says he is unsure whether £60m signing Johan Manzambi will face Nottingham Forest at Villa Park on Saturday, 3pm.

Manzambi trained ahead of Villa's Champions League tie with Club Brugge on Tuesday, however he did not travel with the squad to Belgium.

The 20-year-old midfielder has not featured in any of Villa's opening three Premier League matches as he continues to recover from a knee injury.

After impressing for Switzerland at the World Cup with five goal contributions in four games, he worked with a knee specialist and returned to group training last week. Emery plans to manage his minutes before the international break.

Emery ruled him out of the Brugge match, said his progress is very good and that the medical team are keeping him updated. He expects Manzambi to be available a few days after Tuesday, but remains uncertain about Saturday.
