Unai Emery has confirmed Emiliano Martínez, Matty Cash and Tyrone Mings are all doubts for Friday night's FA Cup fifth round clash at home to Cardiff City.
The Argentine keeper felt pain during training prior to Tuesday's loss at Crystal Palace, but started the match through the pre-match warm-up without a problem.
However he came off at half-time for Robin Olsen, and may not feature against the Championship side. Cash and Mings did not play at Selhurst Park.
Speaking ahead of the game, Emery provided an update on the three players, as well as ruling out several others.
"Pau Torres is still injured. Matty Cash is close, but we will see. Mings is a doubt. Martinez is a doubt. Barkley not for tomorrow. Onana and Kamara are close to coming back."
“We will train this afternoon and we will watch on the field how the players are, without risk and pain to be available for tomorrow,” Emery explained.

The Villa boss also stated that Donyell Malen will hopefully be back from a bout of illness for the game.
Villa will be looking to book a spot in the quarter-finals against the Bluebirds as they aim to end a 29-year trophy drought.
