Unai Emery ‘to move for’ Tosin Adarabioyo after João Palhinha talks stall | OneFootball

Unai Emery has turned his attention to Tosin Adarabioyo after Aston Villa’s talks with Bayern Munich over João Palhinha failed to produce a deal.

Sky Sports reports that Villa have joined the chase for the Chelsea centre-back, who could head to Birmingham if Ezri Konsa is confirmed by Arsenal, with the Gunners targeting the England international.

Adarabioyo has also been linked with Benfica. With the Portuguese side sealing Alessandro Circati, their interest may cool as their centre-back department would contain five options, Alessandro Circati, Clément Lenglet, Tomás Araújo, Gabriel Índio and Joshua Wynder.

A prior connection with Marco Silva adds to the prospect of a switch to the Estádio da Luz. The pair worked together at Fulham, where Adarabioyo gained experience and became an important option.

Last season with Chelsea, the defender made 29 appearances, 16 in the Premier League, five in the Champions League, five in the FA Cup and three in the League Cup. He logged 1,639 minutes and scored two goals. He is valued at €16 million.
