Valencia trained at Paterna this morning, just over 48 hours before visiting Mallorca at Son Moix, in what is viewed as a final in the survival scrap. According to AS, Carlos Corberán has severe defensive issues.

For now he can only call on César Tárrega at centre-back, and he will wait for tomorrow morning’s final session to assess Unai Núñez before deciding whether he travels.

Unai continues working apart from the group. The rest of the squad did not go out on to the pitch today and stayed in the gym. Núñez wants to be at Son Moix and is pushing to overcome a hamstring contracture suffered two weeks ago.

Hugo Duro is also attempting to make the trip. The striker’s prospects are more complicated, but he has set himself the target of being available, with tomorrow a key day.

Copete and Cömert will remain in Valencia. The Swiss defender hopes to be ready for Saturday at Mestalla against Girona.
