Carlos Corberán must rework his defence for the trip to Martínez Valero, with Unai Núñez out after hamstring discomfort against Celta de Vigo. The centre-back skipped training this morning and will miss Saturday’s derby.

According to AS, the issue is not serious, but he must rest.

Since arriving in the winter window, Unai Núñez has become a key part of Corberán’s plans. His defensive versatility allows him to cover at right-back or centre-half, a help during Thierry Correia’s recent absence.

The intention is for him to be available for the match against Mallorca, aided by a league-free weekend due to the Copa del Rey. He is set to begin work on the grass next week if his hamstring settles.

The medical staff and the player do not want to take risks, and if he is not ready to play in Palma he will target Girona. Corberán currently has Tárrega and Cömert as his only fully fit centre-backs, with Thierry Correia an option at right-back.
