„Unbelievable“: England legend puts Kane on the highest level | OneFootball

Harry Kane is currently wowing fans and experts alike at the 2026 World Cup in North America. The striker already has five goals to his credit. As a result, one English legend can’t stop raving about him. 

That legend is Gary Lineker. He had already pointed out earlier in the tournament that Kane meets the highest standards and that it’s no coincidence he has scored the most World Cup goals for the Three Lions.

Now he’s gone a step further in an interview with the tabloid The Sun. In an exclusive conversation, Lineker once again expressed his deep admiration for the Bayern Munich star, who aims to win the World Cup title with England.

Lineker Praises Kane Once Again

“Harry Kane is the best soccer player we’ve ever produced. Not just the best striker, but the best soccer player of all time,” explained the former professional and national team player.

Lineker also put Kane’s impressive statistics into perspective. “I know some people think it’s easier today because all records are being broken—we play more games, and there are many more smaller nations,” he explained.

However, he doesn’t buy into that argument. “But we’re talking here about the quality of his all-around game, not necessarily just the numbers, which are, of course, incredible.” Since the start of the 2025–26 season, Kane has scored more than 70 goals, taking his game to an even higher level.

Lineker was fascinated by the way Kane has adapted his game to the circumstances. “The way he drops into open space and then holds onto the ball, the precision of his passes, and his understanding of the game are simply incredible. His finishing ability—whether one-on-one, from outside the box, or in the air. Harry just has it all,” said the Englishman.
