With less than 12 months remaining on Raphaël Guerreiro’s contract at Bayern Munich and no new deal on the horizon, the player’s future at Germany’s record champions remains uncertain.

According to Kicker, Guerreiro’s future was recently discussed at Bayern’s Säbener Straße HQ but a final decision is yet to be made, with the publication noting that we’re still in the early stages of the 2025/26 campaign with plenty of time remaining to hold future discussions.

With a contract expiring in 2026, Guerreiro – who has interest from Juventus – is free to discuss with other clubs from January 1, but, per Kicker, Bayern aren’t worried about not receiving a transfer fee for the Portugal international. The 31-year-old arrived on a free transfer from Borussia Dortmund in 2023 and Bayern aren’t prioritising a sale in January, the last opportunity to generate a transfer fee.

Given Guerreiro’s versatility, being able to play at left-back, left-midfield and central-midfield, Bayern would rather keep the utility player until the end of the season before making a decision.
